Fastbreak Service
Fastbreak Pick up: Proceed to the Budget Fastbreak line or Budget rental counter. Present your driver licence and receive your rental agreement and keys. Fastbreak Return: Park the vehicle and lock it. If a return agent is not available in the rental car park, proceed to the rental counter/office with your vehicle keys, mileage and fuel level. You can access your receipt online within 72 hours of returning your vehicle.
General Directions
COUNTER: Located in the terminal next to the main exit doors, opposite baggage claim. CARS: Exit through the main door, vehicles are to the left of the terminal in the rental car park. RETURNS: Take Airport Dr and keep left until you're in front of the terminal. Continue straight ahead, following the rental car park signs and proceed through the boom gate. AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Available. Key drop on counter terminal during airport hours. Outside airport hours, key drop located on office door.
After-hours Returns
Park & lock the car. Place the completed contract & the keys in the Drop Box located in the Returns area. Remember to take your personal belongings with you.

Conveniently situated in the arrivals hall, the counter is just left of the main stairs. The Budget office is open from 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM on Sunday; 7:30 AM - 10:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; 7:30 AM - 8:30 PM on Tuesday; and 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM on Saturday. If you need to drop off your vehicle after these hours, there is a secure keydrop location adjacent to the counter.

Invercargill Airport is the most southerly airport in New Zealand, and one of the most southerly airports in the entire world. Located just 1.6 km from the CBD, this airport is easy to access from anywhere in the city. Invercargill Airport has one main terminal building, a backup terminal, a single 2 km runway, and 5 accessible gates.

The main terminal was only recently completed in 2016, with the old terminal completely demolished due to ongoing structural issues. Invercargill is quite a small airport with a limited number of domestic weekly services to Christchurch and Wellington. There are also many chartered flights operating from the airport, with Invercargill also acting as a technical international stopover when bad weather conditions affect Queenstown Airport.

Invercargill Airport is located in the heart of the city centre, with easy access to the CBD. Nearby attractions include Bill Richardson Transport World, Dig This, and Classic Motorcycle Mecca. The city itself also features a number of great shopping and eating destinations, with Invercargill home to the award-winning Invercargill Brewery.

If you have a hire car and want to explore the beautiful countryside surrounding this great city, the Catlins is only 40 minutes away by road. Other accessible destinations include Steward Island, the town of Bluff, and Western Southland.
